Cats of age (15 weeks) must have a rabies vaccination. It is recommended that they are also vaccinated with FVRCP vaccine that protects against respiratory viruses among other things.
Dogs of age (15 weeks) must have a rabies vaccination and dogs 10 weeks and older must also be vaccinated for Kennel Cough (Bordatella). This disease is highly contagious and easily spreads through unvaccinated dogs in close quarters. Vaccines must be current, within the preceding 12 months.
If your dog is coming to board and has never been vaccinated for Bordatella before, it is recommended to have the vaccine given at least a week before his stay to ensure time to mount an immune response to the vaccine.
